The Valley Center Building, Encino, CA
Evaluation of damage that occurred to this nineteen-story steel frame building in the 1994 Northridge earthquake in San Fernando Valley. The building suffered numerous steel connection failures, and was left 6 inches out of plumb at the end of the earthquake. Work included preparation of plans and specifications for repair of all of the damaged steel connections. Work also included performing a study to determine the feasibility of straightening the building.
