Rewerts was engaged to perform a structural engineering investigation to determine the causes of severe damage which occurred in a row of historic buildings in downtown Dubuque during the construction of a parking garage on the adjacent property.   The damage was determined to have been caused by the improper installation of auger cast concrete piles for the foundation of that parking garage.

Rewerts also provided extensive litigation support including testimony at the ensuing trial, which resulted in a favorable verdict for the building owners.
