Rewerts was in charge of an investigation to determine the extent of damage that occurred to twin, eighteen-story cast-in-place concrete residential towers during the 1994 Northridge earthquake in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.  Included performance of structural engineering analyses to predict how the building performed in the earthquake, and development of numerous schemes for repair of the building.
